Why Choose Our Cardamom Plants

Our tissue culture cardamom plants offer superior advantages over conventional propagation methods, providing growers with reliable, high-performing plants for commercial spice production.

Genetic Uniformity

All plants from the same variety are genetically identical, ensuring consistent pod quality, size, and flavor profile.

Disease-Free

Our laboratory protocols ensure plants are free from common cardamom diseases, including rhizome rot, capsule rot, and viral infections.

Faster Establishment

Tissue culture plants establish more quickly in the field, reducing the time to first harvest by up to 6-12 months compared to conventional propagation.

Higher Yields

Field tests demonstrate 20-30% higher yields from our tissue culture cardamom plants compared to conventional propagation methods.

Year-Round Availability

Our controlled laboratory conditions allow for consistent plant production throughout the year, independent of seasonal constraints.

Technical Support

Our team of agronomists provides comprehensive technical support and growing guidelines for optimal plantation management and yield maximization.

Cardamom Cultivation Guidelines

1

Site Selection

Cardamom thrives at elevations between 600-1500 meters. Ideal conditions include well-draining soil rich in organic matter with pH 6.0-6.5, partial shade (40-50%), and protection from strong winds.

2

Planting Specifications

Plant cardamom at spacing of 2x2 meters. Ensure planting holes are 30x30x30cm, enriched with organic matter. Maintain proper drainage to prevent waterlogging.

3

Water Requirements

Cardamom plants need approximately 1500-4000mm of rainfall annually. Irrigation is necessary during dry periods, particularly during flowering and pod development stages.

4

Fertilization

Apply balanced NPK fertilizer (17:17:17) at 75g per plant, three times annually. Supplement with organic matter and micronutrients for optimal growth and yield.

5

Pruning and Maintenance

Regular pruning of old and diseased tillers is essential. Maintain 4-5 healthy tillers per clump. Remove spent flower spikes and dead leaves to prevent disease spread.

6

Harvesting

Harvest cardamom pods when they are fully mature but before they split open. Regular harvesting every 15-30 days during the season ensures optimal quality and yield.
